Tennessee State Parks

It’s been a long hard week. You’re tired, overworked, underpaid, have about a hundred bones to pick with your boss, and as soon as you get home you have to deal with about a million other things! So on the weekend you just want to enjoy some peaceful, inexpensive time with the family, right? Well East Tennessee has the perfect thing to help you relax!

East Tennessee is home to many beautiful state parks. There’s Big Ridge, Norris Dam, Cove Lake, Frozen Head, and Pickett state parks, just to name a few! You can pack a lunch and enjoy a picnic by the lake, go for a swim, fish, hike, sightsee, have a camping trip, brush up on some of your history or learn some new things! And don’t forget your camera; you’d hate to miss out on capturing some truly amazing shots of the lakes, rivers, wildlife, and thousands of wildflowers!

A visit to one of East Tennessee’s state parks is definitely a perfect way to unwind and it’s always great fun for the entire family!
